course, on Leighroy's first morning patrol he was lucky enough to see 23
hatchlings! They'd hatched sometime in the night and were still on
the beach when he, Emily and Ed arrived after dawn. Of course, sometime
between them hatching and Leighroy finding them, they died. Of course
this didn't stop him modeling the very cooperative babies and taking a
